Do you work DX stations outside North America? If so, you may have QSL cards waiting for you at one of the ARRL’s regional DX QSL Bureaus. Cards received by ARRL from other countries for distribution inside the U.S. are sent to the regional bureaus, and sorted by volunteers. While electronic QSLing using services such as Logbook Of The World, many DX and shortwave listeners still send hard copy QSLs.

Cards for you would be sent to the bureau serving the FCC district for which your call sign was issued. For example, QSL cards for John WC3Q would be held at the Third Region bureau in Clinton, Maryland operated by the National Capital DX Association; QSLs for Josh KG4RAY would be held at one of two Fourth Region bureaus, specifically the bureau in Sterling, Virginia operated by the Sterling Park Amateur Radio Club.

Learn more about the QSL bureau system and how to contact your bureau by visiting the web page for the ARRL Incoming QSL Service. Also, learn about the ARRL’s web-based QSL confirmation service, Logbook Of The World.
